Teen Creative Art Workshops
Description
Our creative arts workshops for teens aim to cultivate mindfulness skills, stress reduction, social and emotional learning, and self-compassion. This involves youth engaging in artistic experiences within a safe, supportive community that encourage creativity, imagination, confidence, and fun! Groups will explore a variety of creative and expressive art forms, including spontaneous drawing, creative movement, paper marbling, and ceramics.
All materials are provided. Adaptive tools can be provided upon request.
Ages 6-12 with a maximum of 4 participants for each workshop. No experience is needed.
Week 1: Creative Clay: Exploring texture, pattern, and form through the playful experimentation of clay using a pottery wheel.
Week 2: Paper Marbling: Creating marble-like designs on paper.
Week 3: Creative Clay: Using Suminagashi inks to color final clay pieces.
Week 4: Creative Drawing and Movement: Bilateral and spontaneous drawing and movement.

Class Cancellation Policy:
We request that you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled class by calling us at 315-765-6923 during operating hours of 9am to 4pm. If you must cancel your class for any reason, you will receive a credit if you cancel before the 48 hours. You may use these credits towards a future class. Classes not cancelled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class time are not eligible for a credit. Workshops/classes are not eligible for refunds.
