About the Installation - "Secret Invitation"
" 'Secret Invitation' is a window installation that celebrates the diversity of our global community and reflects the cultural exchange that began during the silk-road over 2,000 years ago. I have selected diverse languages using the words: Search, Exchange, Invite and Welcome.
I employ light as a major design element in this work. Sunlight has nurtured our planet and has given all historic cultures a deeper concept of spirituality, community and ritual. You will know and understand the core meaning and purpose of all cultures in history, when you identify how they have valued and integrated light into their daily life. World cultures are 'Sun Cultures'.
The projected LED lights allow the viewer to see an active technology that stays in the present, the light emanating towards them. This is an important concept that supports my narrative, to stay in the present."
