4 Elements Studio is proud to present “Behind the Elements: Annual Staff Exhibition,” the first annual showcase featuring original work by the artists and educators who make up the studio’s creative core.
Opening on Friday, April 24th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, this exhibition offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the personal artistic practices of the staff, highlighting the diverse styles, disciplines, and creative voices that shape the studio’s community every day.
While 4 Elements is widely known for its commitment to arts education and community programming, this exhibition shifts the focus inward, inviting the public to experience the work of the instructors themselves outside of the classroom setting.
Featured artists include Vartan Poghosian, Dana Kelsey, Eh Pleh Hsoe, Karis McCaskill, Will Hubbard, Tony Thompson, Andrea Vedder, Raynboe Shutler and David Mentus, each bringing a unique perspective across mediums such as painting, illustration, ceramics, mixed media, and more.
“Behind the Elements” celebrates not only the finished work, but the process, experimentation, and individuality that fuel the studio’s environment. Visitors will gain insight into the artistic identities that inspire and inform the teaching, mentorship, and creative energy at 4 Elements.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.
